Bader Nana (JABS) - Devolver 'Album Review'

Bader nana is one of the few musicians in the middle east to reside in the genre of prog.

and over the year he managed on his own to build a reputation for himself as being one of the pioneers of progressive metal in the middle east with his albums , and one of our favorites is the album ( Wormwood ) which was an extremely excellent album.

so coming to his new album ( Devolver ) I had high hopes for it , and I was not disappointed , Although i got some feed back and criticism on some points .

some songs in style and sound somehow , even in previous works , keep reminding me of dream theater and their signature keyboard and guitar combination sound.

besides that , I do really believe this album is Bader's Finest moment as a musician , with improved and fantastic skills on his instruments proving him a master of the genre.

The album contains lots of great tracks , and some of our favorites are :

1. Without a backward Glance - featuring the amazing vocals of Omar Afuni

2. Full Circle

3. Desperate Times

4. Devolver - Featuring Ramzi Ramman

Yet , some of the songs do not have their own identity we believe , where they couldve been much better , such as the opening track ( mercenaries ) and ( Victorious )

In General , the Album proves why Bader is one of the greats in genre in the middle east , and he is drawing the line for future bands to come and do the genre its fair share of good composition.
